Privacy policy.

What we collect, why we collect it and how you stay in control. Short version: only what we need to fulfil your order.

Overview

This policy explains what personal information Inventor Industries collects when you browse our store, place an order, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, and what we do with it. We collect only what we need to run the shop, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect

  • Order details — your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address, phone number (if provided) and what you bought.
  • Payment information — card details are entered with our payment processor and never stored on our servers. We receive only confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card.
  • Messages — anything you send through the contact form or by email.
  • Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe.
  • Basic technical data — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes this to deliver the site, keep it fast and protect it from attacks and automated abuse.
  • Usage statistics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records the page viewed, the referring site, your browser and device type, your approximate country and page load times. It does not use cookies or store anything in your browser, and it does not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your orders, including refunds, returns and warranty claims.
  • To reply to your questions and requests.
  • To send the monthly newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the site secure and meet legal and tax obligations.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

We rely on your contract with us to fulfil your order, on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the shop, on your consent for the newsletter, and on legal obligation for accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that help us operate the shop, and only what each needs to do its job:

  • Payment processing — our payment provider, Stripe.
  • Delivery — carriers and couriers, who receive your name, address and contact details.
  • Hosting, security and analytics — Cloudflare, which runs the website on its global network, filters malicious traffic and provides our privacy-friendly visitor statistics.
  • Newsletter — Resend, which stores subscribers' email addresses and sends the newsletter and its confirmation email.
  • Other infrastructure — our database and email providers.
  • Authorities — when the law requires it.

Some of these providers, including Cloudflare, Stripe and Resend, are based in the United States and may process data outside your country. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years. Support messages are kept while we are helping you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the store to work and stay secure, such as your cart, your language and Cloudflare's bot protection. Our visitor statistics are cookieless, and we set no advertising or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent. Our Cookies page lists what is stored in your browser and how to control it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will also notify customers by email.
